Andruw Jones
A former professional baseball center fielder who played 17 seasons. Five time All-Star and won both the Hank Aaron Award and a Silver Slugger Award for outfielders in 2005. Jones made his MLB debut during the 1996 season with the Atlanta Braves at age 19. In the 1996 World Series, he became the youngest player ever to hit a home run in the postseason, and just the second player ever to homer in his first two World Series at-bats.
Mike Bordick
A former professional baseball shortstop. He played in the MLB from 1990 to 2003 with four teams: the Oakland Athletics, Baltimore Orioles, New York Mets, and Toronto Blue Jays. An All-Star in 2000. He played in two World Series.
Larry Bigbie
A former professional baseball player. Selected by the Orioles in the 1st Rd of 1999, he played for the Baltimore Orioles, Colorado Rockies, and St. Louis Cardinals.
Rick Krivda
A former professional baseball player. He made his MLB debut July 7, 1995. He pitched 12 years in professional baseball. Krivda won a gold medal in the 2000 Olympics.
Harold Baines
A former professional baseball player who played for five teams from 1980 to 2001. A Maryland native, he played seven years with his hometown team, the Baltimore Orioles. The first overall selection in the 1977 Major League Baseball Draft and a six-time All-Star, Baines was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2019.
Joe Smith
A former professional basketball player. A power forward who was drafted by the Golden State Warriors with the No. 1 pick overall in the 1995 NBA draft. He was named to the 1995–96 All-Rookie team and went on to have a 16-year career in the NBA. Smith was the College Player of the Year for the Terps in 1995.
Calvin Maduro
A former professional baseball player. He played five years in the MLB between 1996 and 2002. In 2003, he was decorated as a Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau, along with fellow Aruba-born baseball players Eugene Kingsale and Sidney Ponson.
Rick Dempsey
A former professional baseball player.. He played 24 seasons in the MLB most notably for the Baltimore Orioles where he played for 10 years. He won the 1983 World Series including the MVP of that World Series. In 1997, he was inducted into the Baltimore Orioles Hall of Fame.

Ryan was drafted by both the Orioles and the Nationals and after retiring from pro ball, Ryan has become a talented content creator and podcaster centering his work around professional sports and fantasy football. LaMonte Wade
"Late Night LaMonte," is a professional baseball player for the San Francisco Giants. He played college baseball for the University of Maryland. The Minnesota Twins selected Wade in the ninth round of the 2015 MLB draft.
Tony Saunders
is a former professional pitcher who played in the MLB from 1997 to 1999. He was the first player selected by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the 1997 MLB expansion draft. He earned a World Series ring in 1997 as the Marlins defeated Cleveland in seven games.
Dave Johnson
is former professional baseball pitcher who spent five seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates, Baltimore Orioles and Detroit Tigers. He has been a baseball analyst with the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) and the Orioles Radio Network since 2006.
Justin Maxwell
is a former professional MLB outfielder. Maxwell debuted in 2007 with the Nationals and finished his MLB career with the Giants in 2015.
Brandon Lowe
An MLB second baseman for the Tampa Bay Rays. He made his MLB debut in 2018 and was an MLB All-Star in 2019.
Jay Gibbons
A former professional baseball right fielder in Major League Baseball. He played for the Baltimore Orioles and Los Angeles Dodgers.
Ravin Caldwell
A former NFL linebacker for the Washington Redskins from 1987 to 1992, playing for Joe Gibbs on the teams that won the Super Bowl following the 1987 and 1991 seasons.
Lamont Jordan
A former NFL running back. He played college football for the Terps and was selected by the New York Jets in the 2nd Rd of the 2001 NFL draft. Jordan played in 114 games for the Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots and Denver Broncos and had 28 career touchdowns.
Al Bumbry
A former MLB outfielder who played 13 seasons for the Baltimore Orioles and San Diego Padres. Bumbry was the 1973 AL Rookie of the Year and went on to be an All-Star and World Series champion. He is an inductee of the Baltimore Orioles Hall of Fame.
Tippy Martinez
A former professional baseball left-handed pitcher. He pitched 14 seasons in the MLB. Most of his career was spent as a member of the Baltimore Orioles where he was a member of 1983 World Series championship team.
Walt “The Wizard” Williams
A former NBA basketball player. A sharpshooting 6'8" swingman. Williams was selected by the Sacramento Kings with the seventh overall pick in the 1992 NBA draft. Williams went on to play 11 seasons in the NBA. He’s a former Terps basketball legend that established a scholarship fund at the University of Maryland in honor of his father, Walter Sr.
Fred Smoot
A former professional football player who played cornerback for nine seasons in the NFL. Smoot was selected 45th overall by the Redskins in 2001. Smoot collected 16 interceptions and formed an impressive duo with Champ Bailey in his four years with the Redskins.
Mychal Givens
A professional baseball player that played for five MLB teams. The Orioles selected Givens in the second round, with the 54th overall selection in the 2009 MLB draft. Drafted as a shortstop, the Orioles approached him before the 2013 season about becoming a pitcher. Givens finished his career with 32 wins, an ERA of 3.47 and 539 strikeouts.
Chad Cordero
A former professional baseball pitcher. Cordero played in the MLB for the Montreal Expos / Washington Nationals and Seattle Mariners. Cordero was an All-Star in 2005. From 2005 – 2007 Cordero racked up 113 saves. He ended his career with 20 wins, 128 saves, a 2.89 ERA and 298 strikeouts.
Ryan Klesko
is a former Major League Baseball first baseman and corner outfielder who played for the Atlanta Braves, San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants. Klesko hit at least 21 home runs in eight of his 13 seasons in the major leagues, with a high of 34 homers in 1996.
Stan Gelbaugh
is a former professional football player who was a quarterback in the NFL for the Bills, Cardinals and Seahawks. He was teammates with Boomer Esiason and Frank Reich at the University of Maryland in the mid 80’s.
Denny Neagle
is former Major League Baseball pitcher who pitched 13 years in the MLB. Neagle was drafted in the 3rd round in 1989 by the Minnesota Twins. In 1997 with the Braves, Neagle had his best season, going 20–5 with a 2.97 ERA.
Eric Milton
selected by the New York Yankees in the 1st round (20th pick) of the 1996 Major League Baseball draft. He pitched a no-hitter in 1999 against the Anaheim Angels and was an All-star in 2001. He finished his career recording 1,127 strikeouts
