The Dirty Terps Celebrity Golf Classic is a stroke play celebrity golf event showcasing golfers from the world of sports and entertainment. Twenty-five foursomes get paired with a single celebrity and fivesomes compete against one another for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place. The field is comprised of 125 golfers, with approximately half the field coming from Tournament Sponsors. While, the remaining groups are made up of baseball supporters, program enthusiasts and former players.
The 18-hole, scramble style format features several course contests: Hole-in-One, Long Drive, Closest-to-Pin, Double-Your-Money, Tee-it-Forward and an Air Cannon shot. Our unique Putting Skills Competition is a signature event and is an absolute MUST TRY!
Stick around after golf for an amazing Cannon Cut dinner prepared by the amazing Cannon Club restaurant staff. Mingle with celebrities and former players while you enjoy a drink and a cigar on the patio grounds or sit around the firepit listening to live music. Bid on auction items presented by Lupton’s Sports Collectibles.
Tournament victors and contest winners will be announced at dinner. Auction item frontrunners will be declared after dinner during the social hour and the evening closes with a message from Coach Swope.
This year the 3rd Annual Dirty Terps Celebrity Golf Classic is hosted by The Cannon Club; Where superior reputation has led them to become recognized as one of Maryland’s premier country clubs.
The Cannon Club is located amidst the picturesque, rolling hills of Anne Arundel County. Designed in 1990 by Lindsay Ervin, it is an idyllic getaway for golfers of all abilities. This pinnacle course is located 30 minutes from Washington, D.C. and Annapolis. The Cannon Club provides golfers the superior comforts expected from a high caliber private facility with the tranquility you just can’t get anywhere in the State.
The private club opens its distinguished championship course to us on Monday, October 27th for an incredible day in which, we raise money for Head Coach, Matt Swope and his Terps Baseball program.
Registration/ Check-in starts at 7:30am. Golfers are given their Competition Gift bag at Check-in and can grab complimentary coffee, breakfast sandwiches and Bloody Mary’s prior to hitting the driving range or putting green. Expect award winning food and signature drinks at various locations on the course. Please look over the itinerary for additional details.
Our goal in this year’s 3rd Annual Celebrity Golf Classic event is to gross $150,000. All proceeds go directly to the baseball program. Please visit the SPONSOR page to learn more about what opportunity interests you.
There are three levels of Tournament Sponsorship: HOF, MLB and MiLB. The HOF Level is Title Sponsor while the MLB and MiLB sponsor levels compliment the tournament and offer unique and exclusive benefits.
